Néstor Guillermo, the son of Don Carlos Del Castillo Arévalo from Tarapoto and Doña Celinda Paredes Paredes from Juan Guerra, displayed a keen interest in aviation from a tender age and often found joy in playing with toy airplanes.

In 1952, Néstor Guillermo joined the Peruvian Air Force, where his dedication and perseverance propelled him to achieve exceptional scores in flight training. His remarkable performance led to promotions and honorable mentions, ultimately attaining the rank of Brigadier General at the Peruvian Air Force Officer School. Tragically, on April 16, 1956, while fulfilling his duties, Néstor Guillermo lost his life in the Naplo hills located in Chilca, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and passion for aviation.
